Amanda Guerrier - President
Amanda graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2011 and again with her MFA in Interior Design in 2014. She is currently a licensed interior designer at ASD | sky where she is responsible for various interior design assignments and working on several project teams to assist in the overall effort of seeing projects through to completion. Amanda joined the local IIDA board 3 years ago and has continued to serve in an effort to create change through leadership and community engagement.
Christina Graham - Past President
Christina is a licensed Interior Designer with over 6 years of Commercial Interior Design experience. As a project designer at Beaux-Arts Group Tampa, Christina works with the client and their consultants to find the best solution for their unique needs. She is driven to deliver design excellence and ensures a smooth process from start to finish. She has been an IIDA member for 8 years and also enjoys volunteering in the community through Paint Your Heart Out Tampa and Emerging Leaders of Tampa - Community Outreach.
Hethre Strickland - VP of Tampa
Hethre’s background is in Interior Design which she practiced until 2007. Since 2007 she has been in various sales roles with manufacturers in the industry, most recently she is the sales consultant for Coalesse, a brand in the Steelcase Inc. family. She is also on the board for Tampa Connection and is active in the local Tampa community. She is excited to be a part of the board for IIDA ; working with a great group of knowledgeable designers and fellow representatives in the central Florida area. She currently lives in the North Tampa with her husband and children.
Kelli Russell - VP of Orlando
Kelli graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2003 and worked as a licensed designer in the state of Florida until 2011 when she became a manufacturer’s representative. Kelli works for Mohawk Group, a commercial flooring manufacturer. IIDA is important to me because it brings the community together for a common goal. We are all united in our field and should support growth, networking, and education to be the best we can possibly be.
Paul Cooper - VP of Advocacy
Paul Cooper has been a practicing interior design professional for over 23 years and has taken leadership positions with IIDA since moving to Florida in 2002 including 2 years as president from 2011-13. Paul currently serves on the IDAF board as Treasurer and has testified in Tallahassee on behalf of licensed interior designers opposing deregulation. Paul is now serving a second term as VP of Advocacy for our Florida Central Chapter.
Tanya Feehan - VP of Membership
Tanya realized at a young age that she wanted to have a career in the interior design field when she repainted her room using just her hands and bright pink paint. Fast forward 22 years later, Tanya is now working in the commercial interior design industry, focusing on becoming a licensed Interior Designer within the next year. When she is not working, you can find her hanging out at her favorite spots in St. Pete with her baby beagle or tending to her patio vegetable and herb garden. Interior Design has allowed her to get involved with the IIDA Florida Central Chapter and meet some incredible people while playing an active role within the design community.
Danielle Everette - Director, Tampa
Danielle graduated from University of Florida in 2011 and has worked in the Tampa Bay area for 5 years. She is a licensed interior designer focusing on workplace interior renovations. She is knowledgeable of the entire design process from schematic design, construction documents, FF&E coordination and contract administration.
Don Newman - Director, Tampa
Raised in Western NY and became interested in art and design at an early age. Don is also an Eagle Scout and has always dedicated a portion of his free time to volunteer work. He enjoys sharing knowledge and collaborating with others towards a common goal that benefits the community. Believe heavily in giving back and philanthropic efforts. He would like to help the FL Central chapter grow by developing events that align with the chapter’s character, purpose, and goals and appeal to industry professionals.
Kathleen Matthews - Director, Tampa
Kathleen is originally from the DC metro area and earned leadership training in the United States Navy. She is not only a veteran, but also a survivor with strong experience and a demonstrated history in the furniture industry. She is an arts and design professional with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from a CIDA accredited Institute.
Brittany Suszka - Director, Tampa
Brittany graduated from Miami University in 2012 and moved to Florida to a pursue her design career. Currently, she works at NELSON in downtown Tampa, has prior interior design experience in high-end residential design, and served as her Student IIDA Chapter President previously.
Tammy Romer - Director, Tampa
After studying graphic design at Pratt in NYC, Tammy Romer spent over 20 years in international advertising and marketing helping small, medium and legacy companies express their brands, gain new clients, and expand their global distribution. A life-long learner, Tammy returned to school to obtain her Bachelor’s of Science in Commercial Interior Design, with a minor in Art History, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Before joining Workscapes as part of the Healthcare Sales Team, Tammy has held the position of head designer for a residential design/build firm and worked in NYC providing workplace strategy, commercial design and furniture specification for commercial, healthcare, and education end users. An active member of IIDA, Tammy has served as a mentor and participated in the NCIDQ study program. Tammy is finalizing her NCIDQ testing this year, the last step in gaining her state licensure.
Marianne Poltar - Director, Orlando
Marianne works as a Director of Interiors and Branding at Gravity Architecture and Design, LLC. Born, raised and college educated in Ohio, Poltar joined the design industry 14 years ago. IIDA is important to me because as a member, it enables me to be more involved in the design community and allows for development and growth in my profession.
Allison Dill - Director, Orlando
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design, Allison worked for a Knoll Dealership in Chicago, IL for 2 years. She joined National Office Furniture 3 years ago and managed their flagship Chicago Showroom where she was an active IIDA participant. She also set standards and oversaw operations for 5 of our nationwide showrooms. She moved to Orlando as National’s rep in December 2016 and has quickly dove into IIDA involvement.
