Spring CEU Schedule of Events

2 PM - Haworth: The Future of the Office -

AIA COURSE # HAW900-HSW & IDCEC COURSE #119791- GENERAL 1LU

As the landscape of work continues to evolve, understanding the Future of the Office is more important than ever. To support the hybrid work model, changes are happening to help people be more effective and make spaces more efficient. Haworth has identified five themes that organizations should consider as they plan their office design for the future.

3 PM – Dino + Associates: Beyond Noise Reduction: The Aesthetics and Functionality of Quality Acoustics

AIA COURSE # MPS-20210827 & IDCEC COURSE #CC-115160-1000

[APPROVED BY AIA,IDCEC AND GBCI CES AND CE CREDITS = 1 LU/HSW CREDIT]

Imagine a world where noise pollution is not just a nuisance but a serious threat to our well-being. From bustling offices to crowded restaurants, the cacophony of modern life can overwhelm our senses, leading to stress, distraction, and even health issues. Now, picture a solution that not only addresses this problem but revolutionizes the way we experience sound.

4 PM – National Solutions: Wood Solutions

COURSE # NS-WS-21 = 1 LU CREDIT [APPROVED BY AIA]

This one-hour class is a review of Wood Solutions, understanding how the parts of a tree determines the visual aspects of finished product and how we can slice in varying ways to alter the visual result. After the slicing of the log, we will review the methods in which we can treat the sheets for a full range of applications, from a wood wallcovering to exterior rated, water and weather resistant panel.

5 PM – Shaw Contract: Sustainability: The Next Normal

IDCEC COURSE #111674R1 DESIGNATION-HSW

The definition of sustainability has broadened beyond traditional operational measures (energy, water, recycled content) to include material health and how spaces impact people. People spend 90% of time indoors – so where we learn, create, and live impacts our wellbeing. The ingredients that go into products and the impacts of sound, moisture and other design elements on people are important as well as the challenges like climate change and ocean plastics. This session covers market insights and trends driving the focus on human health and wellbeing. Get grounded in the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program and other sustainability certifications.
